Role Overview The EHS Site In-Charge will be responsible for implementing and monitoring EHS practices at the project site. The role will ensure compliance with company safety standards, statutory requirements, and secure work practices across employees, contractors, and site activities.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor EHS / HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at the project site.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety rounds, and workplace audits to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
Ensure implementation of HIRA, JSA, PTW, SOPs, and safe work procedures.
Monitor safety compliance during construction, installation, electrical, mechanical, civil, and commissioning activities.
Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements by employees and contractors.
Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, training, and awareness programs for employees and workmen.
Monitor work-at-height, electrical safety, lifting & rigging, excavation, hot work,
and confined-space safety requirements.
Support incident / accident reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Maintain site-level EHS documentation, inspection reports, permits, checklists, training records, and MIS.
Conduct and coordinate emergency preparedness activities and mock drills.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with applicable EHS standards and statutory requirements.
Report safety observations, near misses, incidents, and critical risks to the Site / Regional EHS Head.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure of identified safety gaps.
Promote a strong safety culture and zero-incident mindset across the project site.
