Senior Manager / AGM – Plant Quality Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Department: Quality Assurance (QA) Business Division: Automotive Employment Type: Full time | Permanent Experience: 18 to 22 Years About the Role We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager / AGM – Plant Quality to lead plant quality initiatives and drive a strong quality culture across the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the automotive industry, excellent knowledge of IATF standards, customer quality management, manufacturing quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring robust quality systems, reducing customer complaints and plant rejections, and driving operational excellence through process improvements and compliance with global quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Plant Quality Management - Lead the implementation and continual improvement of Plant Quality Management Systems.

- Establish and strengthen a quality-driven culture throughout the manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable quality standards.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and manufacturing excellence.

Customer

Quality - Handle customer complaints from domestic and international OEMs.

- Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone, etc.).
- Ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).




- Improve customer quality performance through proactive quality management.

Plant Quality

Assurance - Monitor in-process and final inspection quality performance.

- Analyze plant rejection trends and implement preventive measures.
- Drive reduction in internal rejection, rework, scrap, and customer PPM.
- Ensure process capability and product conformity.

Quality

Systems & Audits - Lead internal, process, product, layered process (LPA), and system audits.

- Prepare the organization for customer audits and certification audits.
- Ensure adherence to quality documentation, SOPs, Control Plans, and process standards.

Continuous

Improvement - Lead Six Sigma and Lean Quality initiatives.

- Drive defect reduction and process optimization.
- Promote preventive quality practices across manufacturing.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Automobile or equivalent) Experience - 18–22 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing or Auto Components Industry.

- Strong exposure to handling both domestic and international OEM customers.
- Experience in leading Plant Quality functions within automotive manufacturing.
