Role & responsibilities:

Network Engineering:

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).

Vendor & OEM Liaising for Complex Architecture and corresponding BOQ Preparation

Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, QoS, and traffic optimization.

Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPNs (IPSec/SSL).

Perform network capacity planning and performance tuning.

Lead network upgrades, migrations, and data centre/cloud connectivity projects.

Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.

Good knowledge on Wi-Fi controllers

Install and maintain network hardware and software.

Should be appraised and updated with latest market trends, solutions & technologies. Actively participate in Webinars, seminars and workshops

Analyse and isolate issues.

Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols and services; MPLS, IPSec, NAT, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, SMTP etc..

Good knowledge of SDN, SD-WAN and Network Management in Cloud environment.

Maintain & Manage Fiber and copper Passive network cabling across the campus

Manage Internet Access, MPLS access for the all BU locations.

Disaster Recovery Plan for each network device and appliance. Planning and execution of DR Drill Activity

Manage and maintain the list of IT LAN/ WAN /Wi-Fi assets in the company.

Network Logs monitoring. Regularly updating security patches, reviewing security vulnerabilities Resource utilization management.

Design and administration of Multilayer Switching and Routing requirements

Closure of Internal and external Audit issues on time with all details.

Security Engineering:

Design, deploy, and manage network security solutions:

- Firewalls (NGFW)
- IDS/IPS
- VPN gateways
- Web proxies
- NAC solutions

Lead incident response for security breaches and advanced threats.



Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation.

Ensure compliance with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, etc.).

Review and improve security policies, standards, and procedures.

Act as L3 escalation point for complex and high-severity security incidents.

Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reviews.

Perform advanced threat hunting and forensic investigations.

Analyse malware, phishing campaigns, and APT activities.

Develop and improve incident response playbooks and runbooks.

Review and enhance:

- IAM / PAM
- Network security
- Endpoint security
- Data protection (DLP, encryption)

Support secure system and application design reviews. Collaborate with SOC, IT operations, and cloud teams.

Participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents.

Should be appraised and updated with latest market trends, solutions &technologies.; Actively participate in Webinars, seminars and workshops. Project & Change Management

Lead, plan, and execute implementation of current IT systems and enhancements to existing systems.

Define requirements, scope, and delivery plans for site-level IT improvement projects in consultation with stakeholders.

Ensure proper documentation of projects, manuals, SOPs, and change requests;approve final versions.

Manage software installations, upgrades, version control, replication, backups, and recovery procedures.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:





Work closely with Operations and BU stakeholders to understand, define, and deliver IT solutions aligned to business needs.

Proactively liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless IT support.

Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors to ensure reliable, cost effective service delivery.

Prepare and maintain escalation matrices for site-level IT operations.

Budget & Resource Management:

Prepare and manage IT budgets in consultation with BU Site IT Managers and Central IT teams.

Monitor IT expenses and ensure conformance to approved budgets.

Support procurement activities including preparation of purchase requests for IT assets and services.

Monitor and drive efficiency and performance of BU IT teams.

Leadership & Reporting:

Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers.

Create and maintain high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents.

Provide technical leadership during audits and major projects.

Provide direction and guidance to site IT teams, driving service improvement and operational excellence.

Host, organize, and attend BU HOD meetings and audits related to IT service delivery.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Director IT.

Architecture & Strategy:

Define network and security roadmaps and standards.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendors.

Support cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Automate network and security operations using scripting/tools where possible.

To comply and adhere to Human Resource policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

To comply and adhere to Health Safety and Security policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

To comply and abide by the Companys Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.

To comply and adhere to IT policies, procedures, rules and regulation.
