OVERVIEW:Working under the supervision of his seniors, the individual will perform his services. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the departments goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in reviewing RFI/RFP/tender documents and support the reporting manager in identifying suitable Electro-optic’s products and generating draft compliance accordingly.
2. Contribute to the preparation of the Bill of Material (BOM) in accordance with tender requirements, in consultation with the reporting manager.
3. Support the drafting of technical specifications and Qualitative Requirements (QRs) for projected tenders and proposals, and assist in reviewing them with the reporting manager.
4. Assist in ensuring the serviceability of demo stock by conducting periodic checks and maintaining inspection records using standardized checklists.
5. Support the preparation and readiness of all equipment and accessories in advance to ensure functional completeness for trials and demonstrations.
6. Manage and execute SAP-related activities, including raising Internal Transfer Requests (ITRs), Purchase Requisitions (PRs), AP down payments, consumption and monitoring inventory levels for all devices.
7. Perform monthly physical inventory verification of engineering stock devices in the Engineering Store and reconcile findings with SAP records to ensure accurate inventory management and accountability.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain Management team and follow up on procurement requirements for sample kits needed for trials or demonstrations.
9. Assist in the execution of trials and demonstrations at client locations, ensuring proper setup and functionality of equipment.
10. Provide support by sharing feedback with the reporting manager after trials, including observations on competitors’ features and assisting in identifying areas for product improvement.
11. Contribute to the preparation of detailed reports on trials and demonstrations, and support the uploading of finalized documents into internal systems post-approval from the reporting manager or HOD.
12. Assist in inspecting equipment upon return from client trials, promptly updating the reporting manager on the operational condition of all items.
13. Support the Engineering department by compiling and organizing weekly progress data and contributing to the monthly MIS report.
14. Assist in drafting and updating user manuals and brochures according to the category and class of products.
15. Contribute to the in-depth study of technical and functional aspects of the full range of the company’s Electro-Optics products to support continuous learning and development.

Assist in researching and understanding thermal imaging, night vision, and day optics technologies, including software and firmware updates, as part of ongoing skill enhancement.
17. Develop and enhance technical knowledge of Electro-Optic device repairs by clearly distinguishing between minor and major repairs. Prepare and share a detailed categorized repair list with the Reporting Manager to support effective maintenance planning.
18. Support the study and application of industry standards such as JSS 55555, JSS5855 IS: 10236, MIL-STD-810G, and MIL-STD-461, particularly in areas related to environmental testing, EMI/EMC, and ingress protection.
19. Coordinate with NABL representatives to conduct testing of electro-optic devices in accordance with JSS 55555, JSS 5855, and MIL-STD-810G standards, as stipulated in the tender compliance requirements.
20. Assist the reporting manager or HOD in various tasks including:

- Research and identification of current technologies, products, and solutions
- Preparation of technical presentations and product proposals
- Market and technical assessment of required accessories for demos
- Demonstration of products to clients
- Development of evaluation methods for thermal and night vision devices
- Product certification and brochure development
- Highlighting unique selling points (USPs) and drafting QRs

- Organizing and participating in events
- Updating project and demo status, client/vendor contact details, and reports in SAP and internal systems
