We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in IBM iSeries/AS400 application development, RPG, COBOL, and DB2. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications while contributing to legacy modernization initiatives and ensuring high availability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM AS400 (IBM iSeries) platform.
- Develop and support applications using RPG/RPGLE, COBOL, CL/CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Perform impact analysis, code reviews, debugging, and application performance tuning.
- Develop and optimize DB2 SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Support production systems by troubleshooting incidents and resolving issues within SLA timelines.
- Participate in application enhancements, migrations, and legacy modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.




- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best development practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance during project execution.

Required Skills :

- 8 - 13 years of experience in IBM AS400/iSeries application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in RPG III/IV, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, CL/CLLE, and DB2.
- Strong knowledge of DB2 SQL, query optimization, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
- Experience in application maintenance, production support, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Valuable understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with source code management and version control tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
