Role & responsibilities

Typical role responsibilities will be as follows:

- Identify & Prioritise High-Impact AI Use Cases: Work closely with Product, Business, Operations, Support, and Engineering teams to identify low-hanging, high-ROI opportunities where AI/ML and Generative AI can drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, faster decision-making, or current revenue opportunities across payment, banking, and reconciliation workflows.
- End-to-End Ownership of AI Initiatives: Own AI projects from ideation to production, including problem definition, data assessment, model/API selection, solution design, POC development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement with minimal supervision.
- Hands-On Prototyping & Integration: Rapidly build POCs and internal tools using AI model APIs, SDKs, and frameworks (LLMs, embeddings, OCR, speech, agents, etc.), and integrate them with Mobilewares existing systems, internal tools, databases, and payment infrastructure.
- Productionisation,



Governance & Reliability: Ensure AI solutions are production-ready by addressing scalability, latency, cost control, security, observability, fallback mechanisms, and compliance considerations relevant to fintech and regulated environments.
- AI Evangelism & Capability Building: Act as an internal AI champion by educating teams on AI capabilities and limitations, documenting learnings, defining best practices, and helping establish Mobilewares long-term AI roadmap, tooling standards, and decision frameworks.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI.
- Experience in the fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated industries is preferred.
