About the role :

In this role, you'll help move our mobile app forward, shipping features, sharpening performance, and having a genuine say in its technical direction alongside your teammates. You'll be embedded in a single team and focused on landing that team's goals and initiatives.

Day to day, you'll work shoulder to shoulder with fellow Android engineers, product and engineering managers, and designers to crack technical problems and deliver an experience that feels fast and dependable. Code reviews, technical debates, and everyday collaboration are all part of the job.

You'll own features and projects outright, carrying them from first commit to release. And you'll have room to raise ideas, propose improvements, and weigh in on the team's technical and architectural direction.

What you'll do :

- Build and refine features in our Android app, crafting mobile experiences that are smooth, dependable, and easy to use.
- Partner with backend teams to wire up APIs and bring new product capabilities to life, making sure the app talks cleanly to backend systems and services.
- Lift performance, stability, and the overall feel of the app by squashing bugs, driving down crash rates, and making everything quicker and more dependable.
- Partner with product, design, and fellow engineers to turn requirements into shipped features that move the team's goals forward.
- Maintain and extend our hooks into external providers for payments, sign-in, analytics, and marketing, keeping them solid as the product evolves.
- Show up for code reviews, design discussions, and the everyday back-and-forth of a team, trading ideas, learning from others, and keeping engineering standards high.
- Own features and projects from build through release, accountable for quality work and a clean rollout to users.
- Help raise the bar on clean code, test coverage, and long-term maintainability so the app stays robust and scalable as it grows.

What we're looking for :

- 2+ years building and releasing Android apps that real people use in production.
- Solid grasp of Android development with Kotlin,



plus current Android practices and frameworks.
- Solid command of building UI in Jetpack Compose you're at ease creating responsive, reusable components, handling screen state cleanly, and working within current Android architecture patterns.
- Hands-on experience wiring features into RESTful services and backend endpoints; bonus points for having integrated external providers for sign-in, analytics, payments, or messaging.
- Deep familiarity with profiling Android performance, tracking down crashes, and hardening the app for stability and reliability.
- A curiosity for new technology and a willingness to learn parts of the stack beyond mobile when the work calls for it.
- Genuinely fluent with AI-assisted coding tools, and able to say where they add value and where they fall short.
- Clear, well-structured communication in writing and speech, and comfort working effectively async.

Working with AI :

- AI fluency is a baseline expectation. You use it to sharpen your thinking, not outsource it decomposing problems before you prompt so you stay in control of the architecture.
- You review AI output as rigorously as human code, with a nose for plausible-but-wrong solutions and tests that pass without proving anything. You own the final result and can articulate exactly why you overrode a suggestion.
- You curate what context a tool sees to keep signal high, and you sense when a prompt speeds you up versus when a problem calls for quiet, independent thought.
- You take AI-era security seriously prompt injection, data leakage, secret handling because "agentic" should never mean "unguarded."
- You automate the repetitive so your focus stays on the decisions that genuinely need a human.
- You keep pace with a fast-moving landscape, understand the tools you rely on, and raise your own ceiling as they improve.
