ACTION NEEDED: Help us tell the Crisafulli LNP Government to Keep the Laws that Keep Queensland Safe Union Careers Work in the Union Movement Queensland Unions - Administration Officer Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) South Brisbane | Full-time Fixed Term to 30 June 2028 Level 2 – $81,983.91 plus 15% superannuation The Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) is Queensland's peak trade union body, representing affiliated unions and approximately 400,000 workers across the state. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing high-quality administrative support while contributing to an organisation that works every day to improve the lives of working Queenslanders.
As our Administration Officer, you'll be the welcoming face of the QCU and play a key role in keeping our office running smoothly. You'll provide reception and administrative support, coordinate meetings and events, assist with document preparation, maintain office systems and work closely with staff, affiliated unions and external stakeholders.
About You You will have: Experience in an administration or office support role. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams). The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a small team.
Experience in a union, membership or not-for-profit organisation, or coordinating meetings and events, will be highly regarded.
What We Offer Salary of $81,983.91 (Level 2) plus 15% employer superannuation. Full time fixed-term position until 30 June 2028. A supportive, friendly and values-driven workplace. The role would suit a recent law graduate looking for advocacy experience in employment and industrial relations law.
The position involves providing advice and representation to AMWU members, delegates and officials. Commencing salary is $96,213 or $105,495 (dependent on experience) with above SGC super, generous leave entitlements and monthly RDO’s.
