About Jaimini Group & NQAS.ai Jaimini Group is an AI-first organisation building infrastructure for India's hardest public healthcare problems. Our flagship product NQAS.ai is India's first AI quality consultant for public health facilities — designed to help every Community Health Officer, doctor, and quality team across 1,60,000 public health facilities in India achieve NQAS certification in 60 days.

We are building the platform that will power the government's target of 100% NQAS certification across public health facilities. This is not a hackathon project. This is deployment infrastructure for national healthcare quality.

The role you're applying for is not a coding job. It's the chance to build a product that touches 1,60,000 facilities across India.

What You'll Actually Own

You will be the primary product engineer for NQAS.ai during a critical 6-month deployment window. You will own end-to-end product delivery — from architecture decisions to production shipping to fixing bugs before & after a district launch.

Your responsibilities

- Build and maintain the full NQAS.ai stack — backend, frontend, AI orchestration, mobile app APIs
- Design and deploy AI pipelines including LLM prompt engineering, RAG systems, image AI, voice AI, and multi-agent orchestration




- Architect and secure the data layer — PostgreSQL with vector search (pgvector), audit logging, role-based access
- Implement production-grade security aligned with DPDPA 2023, CERT-In practices, and government audit requirements
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability
- Ship production releases to real deployment at pilot district facilities within your 6-month tenure
- Own uptime, security, and stability during our first district deployment
- Collaborate directly with the founder and product team on prioritization and architecture

What You Must Have Non-negotiable technical foundation:
- Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django backend development in Python
- Frontend engineering with React.js — production experience, not tutorials
- PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, and ideally pgvector or similar vector database
- AI/LLM integration — you have called production LLM APIs (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, or open-source alternatives) in a real deployed application
- Computer Vision
- Prompt engineering — you understand system prompts, few-shot examples, structured output, and how to handle LLM failures
- Docker — containerization for consistent deployment
- Cloud deployment — GCP, AWS, or Azure. You have deployed something and dealt with production issues
- Git and CI/CD — you know how software actually ships

Non-negotiable engineering discipline:
- You have shipped at least one real project to production with actual users. Personal project counts if it had real usage.
- You write clean, readable code. Your GitHub tells us how you think.
- You handle errors gracefully. You understand that production breaks in ways development doesn't.
- You care about security. You do not commit API keys to repositories.

Non-negotiable commitment:
- You are available for the full 6 months.
- You are willing to work in-person for 4-16 critical weeks (travel and stay covered)
