Located in the heart of Whitefield’s vibrant tech and business corridor, this campus enables students in India to earn a prestigious, globally recognized University of London degree without the cost and visa hurdles of relocating overseas.
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and empathetic Admission Counsellor to join our expanding team and help ambitious students shape their global futures.
Role Overview
As an Admission Counsellor, you will serve as the primary guide for prospective students and their parents from initial inquiry through application submission. Your core mission is to understand student aspirations, advise them on Birkbeck’s prestigious UK curriculum (focused on Business Management and Analytics), and navigate them seamlessly through the admission process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Inquiries: Promptly handle incoming leads and prospective student inquiries via phone, email, digital chat, and walk-ins at our Bengaluru campus.
- Consultative Counselling: Conduct professional one-on-one sessions to evaluate students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and match them with appropriate undergraduate or postgraduate programs (e.g., BSc Business Management, BSc Business Analytics, MA/MSc programs).
- Guidance & Transparency: Provide clear, accurate information regarding UK academic entry requirements, fee structures, global qualification value, and application deadlines.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an active follow-up pipeline, nurture prospective applicants, and work diligently to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
- CRM & Reporting: Log and maintain accurate records of all student interactions, follow-ups, and application milestones using the internal CRM system.
- Outreach & Events: Represent Birkbeck,
University of London at local education fairs, school visits, webinars, and campus information sessions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with marketing, academic administration, and processing teams to fast-track applications and resolve student queries.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, International Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven experience in student recruitment, admissions counselling, or inside sales (background in international education or EdTech is a strong plus).
- Communication Skills: Impeccable verbal and written English communication skills, coupled with stellar active-listening abilities.
- Interpersonal Approach: A welcoming, patient, and persuasive demeanor capable of building immediate trust with students and parents alike.
- Goal-Oriented: Highly motivated, comfortable thriving in a metrics-driven environment, and committed to targets.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM software, MS Office suite, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google Meet).

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
