Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This role requires working during US business hours (IST night shift) to coordinate directly with the US-based finance/management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and bank statements
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and client billing in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for management
- Ensure compliance with GSA contract accounting requirements, indirect rate calculations, and DCAA standards (where applicable)
- Manage QuickBooks/ERP entries and maintain accurate financial records




- Coordinate with US-based external auditors, CPAs, and tax consultants during audits and tax filing season
- Track project-based costing for AEC projects (BIM, MEP, permit expediting services)
- Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings
- Assist in accounts reconciliation and month-end/year-end closing processes
- Available for real-time coordination with US team during shift hours

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of accounting experience (U.S. GAAP knowledge required)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software/ERP systems
- Familiarity with government contract accounting (GSA, DCAA) is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of U.S. tax compliance (federal, state, payroll taxes)
- Willingness to work night shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM IST), Monday to Friday
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or working toward CPA certification
- Prior experience working night shift for US-based clients/companies
- Experience in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry accounting
- Experience with government/federal contract billing (T&M;, cost-plus, fixed-price)
