Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Handle general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Manage branch accounting for multiple retail showrooms
- Monitor revenue recognition for retail and customized jewellery sales

2. Inventory & Metal Accounting

- Maintain accurate accounting of gold, diamond, and precious stone inventory
- Track metal stock (gross weight, net weight, wastage, purity levels)
- Reconcile physical stock with book stock on a periodic basis
- Handle valuation of inventory based on market rates (gold rate fluctuations)
- Monitor stock movement between HO, warehouses, and branches

3. Retail & Branch Accounting

- Oversee daily sales accounting (cash, card, UPI, finance schemes)
- Reconcile POS systems with accounting records
- Monitor customer advances, gold schemes, and old gold exchange transactions
- Ensure proper billing and invoicing as per GST norms

4. GST & Compliance

- Ensure GST compliance including:
- GSTR-1, GSTR-3B filings




- E-invoicing and E-way bill compliance
- Handle tax audits and liaise with tax consultants
- Ensure compliance with local laws, hallmarking regulations, and audit requirements

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 46 years of accounting experience (preferably in jewellery/retail industry)
- Strong knowledge of GST and Indian taxation
- Experience in inventory-heavy business accounting
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Zoho / SAP / Focus / Tally)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
