Role Description This is a full time Academic Counselor role based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site and work-from-home days.

The Academic

Counselor will guide students through academic planning, course selection, and learning strategies, while addressing their educational concerns and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing student needs, providing career and academic advice, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress. The role involves collaborating with faculty, parents, and internal teams to design support plans, organize workshops or information sessions, and share relevant educational resources.

Counselor will also contribute to improving counseling processes, staying updated on educational trends, and supporting outreach or orientation activities as needed.

Qualifications Strong student counseling skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to support diverse learner needs.

Fluent in English and Malayalam

Career-focused guidance capabilities, such as Career Counseling and knowledge of Education pathways and options.

Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to build trust with students and families.

Relevant academic background, preferably a degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

Prior experience in academic or career counseling, student support services, or educational institutions is highly beneficial.

Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple student cases.

Comfort with hybrid work, including proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online counseling and reporting.

Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory counseling practices, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
