Role Description The 3D Matchmove Artist will be responsible for tracking live-action camera movement and reconstructing accurate 3D camera and object paths for integration of visual effects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing plates, setting up scene scale, placing reference geometry, creating and refining camera solves, and ensuring that tracked data aligns with production requirements. The role involves close collaboration with layout, animation, and compositing teams to ensure seamless integration of CG elements into live-action footage.

Artists will also maintain clean,



organized project files and adhere to studio workflows, naming conventions, and delivery deadlines. This is a contract, on-site role based in Hosur.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in matchmove and tracking software (e.g., PFTrack, 3DEqualizer, Mocha, SynthEyes) and 3D packages such as Maya or Blender.

Solid understanding of camera optics, lens distortion, parallax, and scene scale to generate accurate camera and object tracks.

Experience preparing plates, working with survey data, on-set measurements, and using reference photography for accurate reconstruction.

Ability to collaborate effectively with layout, animation, and compositing teams, communicating technical constraints and solutions clearly.

Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work to production schedules in a fast-paced studio environment.

Familiarity with standard VFX pipelines, file management, and version control practices.

Relevant education or training in VFX, animation, CG, or a related field; prior studio or production experience in matchmove is highly beneficial.

Willingness to work in office in Hosur and adapt to evolving project needs and tools.
