Role Description The 3D Matchmove Artist will be responsible for tracking live-action shots and reconstructing accurate camera and object motion for seamless integration of CG elements. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing plates, creating camera and object tracks, solving lens distortion, and maintaining consistency with production requirements and shot continuity. The role involves close collaboration with layout, animation, and compositing teams to ensure that all matchmove outputs meet technical and artistic standards.

The artist will also troubleshoot problematic shots, optimize workflows, and maintain organized scene files and documentation. This is a contract, on-site role based in Hosur.

Qualifications





Candidates should possess strong 3D matchmove and camera tracking skills, including experience with industry-standard tools (e.g., PFTrack, 3DEqualizer, SynthEyes, or similar).

Candidates should possess solid 3D skills, such as proficiency in applications like Maya, Blender, or equivalent, and a clear understanding of scene layout, scale, and coordinate systems.

Candidates should possess abilities in plate analysis and technical workflows, including handling lens distortion, understanding camera rigs, and working with survey data or on-set measurements.

Candidates should possess strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with compositing, animation, and production teams and respond constructively to feedback.

Candidates should possess good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shots while meeting deadlines in a quick-paced production environment.

Candidates should possess familiarity with visual effects pipelines and file management, including version control, shot organization, and basic scripting or tool usage as a plus.

Relevant education or training in visual effects, animation, computer graphics, or a related field is beneficial; prior studio or production experience in matchmove or layout is strongly preferred.
