Ashwini Group of Hospitals is seeking a dedicated Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of medical and non-medical supplies. The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing of quality items at competitive prices, maintain strong vendor relationships, and adhere to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Procurement of Supplies and Equipment:
- Identify hospital needs for medicines, medical equipment, consumables, and non-medical supplies.
- Source and select vendors or suppliers.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase terms.

Vendor Management:

- Maintain a list of approved vendors.
- Build valuable relationships with suppliers for timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly.

Purchase Documentation:

- Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain records of purchase transactions, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with inventory/stock department for stock updates.

Quality Control:





- Ensure purchased items meet hospital standards and specifications.
- Report any discrepancies or defective items.

Cost Optimization:

- Work towards cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Keep track of budget allocations and expenses.

Compliance and Regulations:

- Ensure procurement activities comply with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Handle procurement audits if required.

Coordination:

Work closely with departments like Medical, Stores, Finance, and Administration for seamless procurement processes.

Market Research:

Keep abreast of market trends, new products, and best procurement practices.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospital Management, Commerce, or related field.

Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare/hospital setting.
