About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented Restaurant Steward & Captain to join our premium dining outlet. The ideal candidate should possess solid leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Operations
- Ensure smooth operations within the assigned section during each shift.
- Verify that tables are properly set and guests receive timely service.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and serve guests professionally.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and service etiquette.
- Assist with guest seating and reservation management when required.
Team Leadership
- Lead pre-shift briefings and ensure effective handovers between shifts.
- Set a positive example by following company values and service standards.
- Guide, support, and coach team members to maintain service excellence.
- Recommend high-performing employees for recognition and appreciation.
- Act as the point of contact in the manager's absence.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Promote signature dishes, special menus, and beverage offerings.
- Support upselling initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Address guest concerns and complaints professionally within 5 minutes of escalation.
- Communicate daily specials and unavailable items to the service team.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Captain or 2 years as a Trainee Captain.
- Good communication and basic leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food, beverages, and restaurant service standards.
- Positive attitude with a strong guest-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
