As the organization scales across multiple locations and group entities, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to lead our finance and accounts function with accuracy, compliance, and process discipline.

Role Summary

The Accounts Manager will own the end-to-end day-to-day accounting operations of the organization — including invoicing, payments, ledgers, statutory compliance, payroll, banking, and legal/insurance documentation — while also extending finance support to sister organizations and branch offices across India. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the CFO, requiring robust command over accounting fundamentals, statutory processes, and cross-location coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Manage the complete day-to-day accounting and transaction-processing cycle for the organization.
- Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and within defined timelines.
- Process customer and vendor payments, ensuring correct invoice-to-payment matching.
- Create, maintain, and periodically clear ledgers for all vendors, customers, and general accounts.
- Record, monitor, and reconcile petty cash expenses across branch offices.
- Maintain accurate books for debtors and creditors, including ageing and reconciliation.

GST, TDS & Statutory Tax Compliance

- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) accurately and on time.
- Reconcile purchase records with GSTR-2B before every filing.
- Draft and coordinate timely responses to GST return notices and other statutory notices.
- Manage TDS deduction, challan payment, and quarterly return filing (24Q/26Q).
- Ensure timely PF and PT (Professional Tax) compliance, registrations, and challan payments.
- Oversee ITR filing for the company and support employees with individual filing requirements.

Receivables, Payables & Collections

- Manage cheque collection from customers and ensure timely deposit and realization.
- Drive proactive payment follow-up with customers to minimize overdue receivables.

- Process vendor bills and payments in line with agreed credit terms.
- Maintain and reconcile creditor and debtor accounts on a regular basis.

Payroll & Employee Finance

- Handle end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including salary registers and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate PF, ESI, and PT compliance for all employees.
- Support processing of employee insurance enrolments, renewals, and claims.
- Assist employees with loan-related documentation and coordination with banks/lenders.

Banking, Treasury & Legal Documentation Support

- Coordinate bank account closures, new account openings, and related documentation.
- Support preparation of documentation for business loans, credit facilities, and renewals.
- Provide legal documentation support for property tax matters and related filings.
- Manage stock insurance processing, including renewals and claims coordination.
- Perform regular bank reconciliation and monitor cash/bank positions.

Multi-Location & Group Support

- Extend accounting and compliance support to sister organizations and branch offices located across India.
- Standardize accounting processes, reporting formats, and documentation practices across locations.
- Coordinate with location-level teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reporting to the CFO.

Reporting & Team Coordination

- Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports, including P&L;, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Supervise and guide accounts executives/team members; allocate tasks and review quality of work.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and the CA for statutory and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness.

Required Skills

- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and end-to-end bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS,

- Working knowledge of payroll processing and statutory payroll compliance.
- Familiarity with banking documentation, loan processes, and insurance coordination.
- Ability to manage multi-location coordination and standardize processes across teams.
- High attention to detail, strong documentation discipline, and deadline orientation.
- Good communication skills to liaise with CFO, auditors, banks, and cross-location teams.

Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
