Job Description – Retail Store Trainer

Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: Retail Operations Head / HR Head
Location: Gujarat (Frequent travel to retail stores)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Retail Store Trainer to develop, implement, and monitor training programs for our retail store teams. The ideal candidate will ensure that every employee is well-trained in product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, SOPs, food safety, and store operations, ultimately improving store performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Product Knowledge Training

- Conduct training on all product categories and brands.
- Explain product features, health perks, certifications, and customer FAQs.
- Educate staff on chemical-free farming, organic products, A2 dairy, and healthy lifestyle concepts.
- Conduct regular product knowledge assessments and quizzes.
- Ensure store teams confidently recommend suitable products to customers.

2. Sales & Customer Engagement Training

- Train staff on consultative selling, cross-selling, and upselling techniques.
- Improve Average Bill Value (ABV) and customer conversion rates.
- Teach objection handling and closing techniques.
- Coach employees on customer engagement and relationship building.
- Monitor sales performance and provide refresher training.

3. Customer Service Excellence

- Train employees on professional customer greeting and interaction.
- Improve communication and interpersonal skills.
- Handle customer complaints and conflict resolution effectively.
- Build customer loyalty through excellent service.
- Promote positive customer experiences across all stores.

4. SOP & Store Operations Training

- Train staff on company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).




- Billing and POS system operations.
- Inventory management and stock control.
- Goods receiving, returns, and exchange procedures.
- Store opening and closing checklists.
- Cash handling and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure SOP compliance across all retail outlets.

5. Food Safety & FSSAI Compliance Training

- Train staff on FSSAI guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Educate teams on food storage standards and hygiene practices.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and product quality standards.
- Promote safe food handling practices.

6. Training Content Development

- Develop and update training manuals and SOP documents.
- Create presentations, videos, quizzes, and assessment materials.
- Update training modules whenever products or processes change.
- Maintain training records and learning resources.

7. Store Audits & Performance Improvement

- Visit retail stores regularly for training and audits.
- Identify operational and SOP compliance gaps.
- Prepare audit reports with corrective action plans.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and written assessments.
- Monitor employee performance after training.
- Coordinate with Store Managers to ensure continuous improvement.

8. Employee Development

- Conduct induction training for new employees.
- Organize refresher and skill enhancement programs.
- Mentor employees to improve confidence and productivity.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and store performance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
