Job Summary

The Nursing Head is responsible for leading and managing all nursing services within the organization. This role ensures high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient staffing, and continuous quality improvement while fostering a positive and collaborative work setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the nursing department and nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, protocols, and standards.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care.
- Plan staffing schedules, duty rosters, and workforce allocation.
- Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel.
- Monitor clinical performance and ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with doctors, allied health professionals, and administrative departments for effective patient care.
- Manage nursing budgets, equipment, and medical supplies efficiently.
- Investigate patient complaints, incidents, and adverse events, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.




- Organize continuing education programs and competency assessments for nursing staff.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in accreditation activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing); Master's degree (M.Sc. Nursing or Hospital Administration) preferred.
- Valid nursing registration/license as per applicable regulatory authority.
- 8–12 years of clinical nursing experience, including leadership or supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of hospital accreditation standards and nursing regulations.
- Ability to manage emergencies and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in hospital information systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
