Position: Project/Operations Head

Location: Varanasi (with site travel across India)

Reporting to: CEO / Founder

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹2,40,000 – ₹4,80,000/Year (based on experience)

Role Summary

The Operations Head will be the single point of accountability for all field operations across 4–6 simultaneous project sites. This is a handson leadership role requiring strong civil execution experience, government billing knowledge, and team management capability. You will own everything from site setup to final bill collection.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations:

Oversee daytoday execution across all active civil, horticulture and park development sites

Ensure work progresses as per drawings, BOQ and project timelines

Conduct regular site visits and maintain site diaries and progress reports

Coordinate with site supervisors and labour contractors for daily execution

Measurement & Billing:

Maintain Measurement Books (MB) accurately and get entries verified by client PMC/engineer

Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills on time

Track bill submission, approval and payment status for every project

Coordinate with accounts team for GST invoicing and collections

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure work quality as per CPWD/PWD specifications and client requirements

Manage material procurement, testing and onsite storage

Maintain site documentation — work orders, drawings, inspection reports, test certificates

Vendor & Labour Management:

Identify, negotiate and manage subcontractors, material suppliers and labour contractors

Issue work orders to vendors with clear scope and rates

Verify vendor work before approving payments

Maintain a reliable vendor base across civil and horticulture categories





Client Coordination:

Serve as primary point of contact for client site engineers and PMC after award

Attend site meetings, respond to observations and resolve sitelevel issues

Escalate contractual disputes or variation claims to CEO promptly

Team Management:

Lead and coordinate site supervisors and field staff

Ensure attendance, discipline and performance at site level

Onboard and train new supervisors as team scales

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Criteria Requirement:

Education: B.Tech Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience: Minimum 4–7 years in site operations

Project type: Must have worked on government / PSU projects

Billing knowledge; Must have hands-on MB and RA billing experience

Location: Varanasi-based or willing to relocate immediately

Skills Required:

Solid understanding of CPWD/PWD specifications and measurement norms

Ability to read civil drawings and extract quantities

Hands on experience with government contract documentation

Vendor negotiation and management

Basic proficiency in MS Excel and WhatsApp-based reporting

Hindi and English communication (written + spoken)

Preferred (Good to Have):

Prior experience with Nagar Nigam, NHAI or NBCC projects

Exposure to horticulture, landscaping or park development projects

Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously

Existing vendor/subcontractor network in Varanasi/Eastern UP
