Job Overview

Design, develop, migrate, and operate enterprise integrations by modernizing legacy BizTalk Server–based integrations to Azure Integration Services (AIS). The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and event-driven integrations using Azure-native services while ensuring seamless migration, stability, and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Integration Design & Development

- Design, develop, and deliver integration solutions based on business and technical requirements
- Migrate existing BizTalk applications to Azure Integration Services including:(Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, ) Azure Event Grid / Event Hubs
API Management (APIM)

Develop and configure:

- API Proxies, Policies, and Products on API Gateway
- Integrations and workflows on iPaaS / Azure Logic Apps
- Event configurations, topics, and subscriptions on Event Bus
- Implement data transformations and mappings from business formats to enterprise systems (e.g., SAP)

Development & Testing

- Deliver backlog items as high-quality, production-ready software
- Perform scripted development based on technical and design documents
- Develop all components of an integration end-to-end
- Conduct: Unit testing of individual integration components, Integration testing across APIs, workflows, messaging, and events
- Support testing phases with defect analysis and bug fixes

Migration & Modernization

- Analyze existing BizTalk artifacts (Orchestrations, Pipelines,



Maps, Ports)
- Translate BizTalk patterns into Azure-native integration patterns
- Recommend modernization approaches (event-driven, async messaging, API-led integration)
- Ensure minimal disruption during migration and cutover

Operations & Support

- Manage integration deployments and lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor integration performance, reliability, and SLAs
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve defects
- Provide ongoing support for production integrations and respond to support requests

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Core Integration Skills

- Robust understanding of Integration Patterns (sync/async, pub-sub, event-driven, message-based)
- Data Mapping and Transformation (XML, JSON, flat files)
- RESTful APIs and integration standards

Azure & Cloud Technologies

- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Event Grid/ Event Hubs
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Azure Monitor, Application Insights
- Infrastructure as Code using BICEP (preferred) or ARM templates

Legacy & Migration Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with BizTalk Server
- Ability to analyze and translate BizTalk solutions to Azure equivalents

Development & Tooling

- Java (working knowledge)
- OpenAPI / Swagger, RAML, JSON
- Postman, SoapUI
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Agile / Scrum development methodologies
