Job Description – Biology Teacher (CISCE School)

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-focused Biology Teacher with prior teaching experience in a CISCE-affiliated school. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons while preparing students for ICSE/ISC examinations. The candidate should be committed to fostering scientific curiosity through practical learning and modern teaching methodologies.

Educational Qualification

- M.Sc. in Biology/Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.

Experience

- Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in a CISCE (ICSE/ISC) affiliated school.
- Proven experience in handling Biology practicals and laboratory management.
- Experience in preparing students for ICSE/ISC Board Examinations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Biology to students as per the CISCE (ICSE/ISC) curriculum.
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Deliver engaging classroom sessions using activity-based and experiential learning techniques.
- Conduct Biology practicals and laboratory sessions while ensuring laboratory safety.
- Prepare students for ICSE/ISC Board Examinations through regular revisions, practical guidance, and examination strategies.
- Design and evaluate class tests, practical examinations, projects, assignments, and internal assessments.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely academic support to improve learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, assessment reports, and practical files.
- Integrate Smart Boards,



digital learning platforms, presentations, and educational technology into classroom teaching.
- Guide students in Science Exhibitions, Olympiads, quizzes, research projects, and other co-curricular activities.
- Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), faculty meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary learning and curriculum enhancement.
- Ensure discipline, inclusivity, and a positive classroom environment.
- Stay updated with CISCE curriculum changes and emerging trends in Biology education.

Skills Required

- Thorough knowledge of the CISCE Biology syllabus and assessment pattern.
- Strong command over Human Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Cell Biology, Plant Physiology, Biotechnology, and Evolution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom and student management abilities.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and differentiated learning experiences.
- Proficiency in Smart Boards, MS Office, Google Workspace, and digital teaching tools.
- Effective laboratory management and practical demonstration skills.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
