1. In-Process Inspection

- Conduct inspection of components during production (CNC/VMC machines).
- Verify dimensions as per drawing and control plan.
- First piece approval before batch production.
- Patrol inspection on shop floor.

2. Final Inspection

- Perform final dimensional inspection before dispatch.
- Check visual defects (cracks, burrs, dent, surface finish).
- Maintain inspection reports and records.

3. Measurement & Instruments Handling

Use measuring instruments:

- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Thread Gauge
- Slip Gauge

4. Documentation

- Maintain inspection report.
- Fill in-process check sheet.
- Update rejection data.
- Support in PPAP / control plan documentation.

5. Rejection & Quality Control

- Identify defective parts.
- Segregate rejection material.
- Inform production supervisor about quality issues.
- Support root cause analysis.
- Work closely with Production, PPC, and Dispatch.




- Follow ISO / IATF quality standards (if applicable).

Required Skills:

- Drawing reading knowledge (2D mechanical drawings).
- Knowledge of tolerances & GD&T; (basic).
- Experience in CNC/VMC machined components.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel).

Qualification:

- ITI / Diploma Mechanical
- 1–3 Years experience in CNC/VMC Machine Shop (Forging Unit preferred).
