1. 3D Modeling & Cinematic Visualization

- Developing Concepts: Taking initial sketches from senior designers and building them out into 3D models using software like SketchUp, Rhino, or Revit.
- Rendering & Texturing: Applying hyper-realistic material textures, setting up lighting layouts, and generating high-quality architectural renders (often using V-Ray, Lumion, or Corona) for client reviews.
- Mood Boards: Curation of material boards, color palettes, and finish selections to communicate the aesthetic direction.

2. Technical Drafting & Working Drawings

- Layouts & Details: Drafting exact interior and exterior working details, including reflected ceiling plans (RCP), flooring layouts, and wall finishes.
- Detailed Sections: Creating technical framing drawings (e.g., specific metal-framed gypsum partition details, staircase connections, or custom joinery/furniture details).
- As-Built Documentation: Modifying drawings based on site realities and structural changes during the construction phase.

3. Specifications & Estimation

- BOQ Preparation: Assisting in drafting the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), ensuring every material, specification, and quantity is accounted for accurately.
- Material Research: Sourcing specific vendors, researching technical material data sheets, and verifying that chosen materials meet the project's functional and aesthetic needs.

4. Coordination & Site Alignment





- Site Visits: Attending site inspections alongside senior architects or project managers to ensure on-site execution aligns perfectly with the issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings.
- Vendor & Consultant Coordination: Relaying technical updates to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) consultants, structural engineers, and fabricators to resolve design clashes.

While a junior architect isn't expected to manage entire budgets or close high-end clients, they must master a distinct set of technical and soft skills to be effective:
