Job Description – Freelance Social Safeguard Consultant (Project-Based)

About the Role

Corpsustain Ventures is seeking a Freelance Social Safeguard Consultant to support ESG consulting assignments on a project basis. The consultant will contribute to social impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, field surveys, social due diligence, and preparation of technical reports in accordance with national regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Support Social Impact Assessments (SIA) and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies.

· Conduct socio-economic baseline surveys and community consultations.

· Assist in stakeholder identification, engagement, and grievance management.

· Support preparation of Social Management Plans (SMP), Resettlement Action Plans (RAP), and Livelihood Restoration Plans (LRP), where applicable.

· Collect, verify, and analyze field data related to social safeguards.

· Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.

· Support compliance with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), and applicable national regulations.

· Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.

· Incorporate review comments and deliver project outputs within agreed timelines.

Qualifications & Experience





· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, Development Studies, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

· 2–3 years of relevant experience in social safeguard, ESG, E&S; due diligence, ESIA, SIA, or development consulting projects.

· Experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial, mining, transmission, or similar projects is preferred.

· Good report writing and documentation skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Willingness to travel for field assignments when required.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
