Job Summary

Vedanta Power Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to design and optimize solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of solar system design, electrical engineering principles, and relevant design software.

Key Responsibilities

Design on-grid, off-grid, and solar PV systems.

Prepare detailed electrical layouts, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and technical drawings.

Perform site assessment and analyze project requirements.

Calculate system capacity, energy generation, cable sizing, inverter sizing, and component selection.

Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with MNRE, DISCOM, CEA, IEC, and other applicable standards.

Coordinate with the Sales, Project, Procurement, and Installation teams.

Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.

Optimize system designs for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Prepare project proposals, design reports, and engineering calculations.

Resolve design-related technical issues during project implementation.

Stay updated with the latest solar technologies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications





Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

1–5 years of experience in Solar PV System Design (Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply).

Required Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD+Solid Work+3D Design+Arka Software Handelling

Knowledge of PVsyst software.

Familiarity with Helioscope is an added advantage.

Good understanding of solar PV system design and electrical calculations.

Knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems.

Understanding of net metering and DISCOM regulations.

Knowledge of solar mounting structures and component selection.

Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Office.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Attention to detail.

Time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Certifications

Solar PV Design Certification (Preferred)

AutoCAD +SolidWork 3D Certification (Preferred)
