1. Medicine & Feed Additive Management

- Receive and verify medicines and feed additives as per Purchase Order.
- Check batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and quantity before accepting materials.
- Ensure proper storage conditions according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expire First Out) principles.
- Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions before shortages occur.

2. Feed Formulation Compliance

- Ensure the correct medicines and additives are added as per the approved feed formulation.
- Verify dosage before production starts.
- Prevent overuse or underuse of medicines.
- Cross-check medicine quantities with the production schedule.

3. Mixing & Production Supervision

- Supervise weighing and addition of medicines into premix/feed.
- Ensure uniform mixing of medicines.
- Prevent contamination between different feed batches.
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor for smooth operations.

4. Quality Control

- Check physical condition of medicines before use.
- Report damaged or expired medicines immediately.
- Assist the Quality Department in sampling and testing.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company SOPs.

5. Inventory Management

- Maintain daily stock registers.
- Record inward and outward movement of medicines.
- Conduct physical stock verification regularly.
- Report stock discrepancies immediately.

6. Documentation

Maintain updated records of:

- Medicine Stock Register
- Daily Consumption Register
- Batch-wise Medicine Usage Register
- Expiry Register
- Damage/Wastage Register




- Supplier Receiving Register
- Daily Production Log
- Monthly Stock Report

7. Biosecurity & Safety

- Follow all biosecurity protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in the medicine storage area.
- Ensure proper use of PPE (gloves, mask, safety shoes, etc.).
- Dispose of expired medicines safely according to company policy.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the medicine room.

8. Coordination

- Coordinate with Purchase Department for timely procurement.
- Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams.
- Inform management immediately in case of stock shortages or quality issues.

9. Compliance

- Follow company SOPs and feed safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Support internal and external audits.

Daily Responsibilities

- Check medicine stock before production.
- Verify production formula.
- Supervise medicine weighing.
- Monitor mixing process.
- Update stock records.
- Check expiry dates.
- Maintain housekeeping.
- Submit daily report to the reporting manager.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of poultry medicines and feed additives.
- Understanding of feed formulation.

Educational Qualification

- B.Sc. Agriculture / Animal Science / Poultry Science
- Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, or Feed Technology preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in a poultry feed mill, premix plant, or poultry medicine/feed additive handling.
- Experience in inventory management and feed production is preferred.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- 100% formulation accuracy.
- Zero expired medicines used in production.
- Minimum stock variance.
- Timely production support.
- Accurate daily documentation.
- Zero contamination incidents.
- Compliance with biosecurity and safety protocols.
- Successful internal and external audit performance.

Working Conditions

- Work in a poultry feed mill and medicine storage area.
- Standing for long periods during production.
- Use of PPE is mandatory.
- Versatile to work in shifts when required.

Authority

The Poultry Feed Medicine Supervisor has the authority to:

- Reject expired, damaged, or non-conforming medicines.
- Stop the use of incorrect medicines in production.
- Report quality or formulation deviations immediately.
- Recommend procurement based on stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and biosecurity standards.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
