The Team

A&M;’s Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) has an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity to join a budding global capability center team in India and work with the teams across Americas, EMEA and APAC. A&M; TAG is seeking an associate to bring their energy, passion, and expertise to help our clients get the answers they need to get the deal done. We provide private equity and corporate clients buy side and sell side financial accounting due diligence. TAG professionals actively engage in assessing a target’s quality of earning, analyzing cash flows, reviewing working capital, identifying key business drivers, reviewing forecasts, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors

How you will contribute

As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly motivated and effective team of professionals on a variety of interesting global projects across different industries including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services as well as healthcare, software & technology, energy and financial services. The ideal candidate will have experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, and internal audit engagements, with exposure to global clients. The role involves working closely with clients to evaluate business processes, identify risks, assess internal controls, and support compliance with regulatory requirements

- Perform walkthroughs with process owners and document business processes through narratives and process flowcharts

- Identify financial reporting risks,



evaluate the design of internal controls and perform gap assessment
- Prepare and update Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs)
- Execute SOX testing, including Test of Design (ToD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (ToE)
- Evaluate control deficiencies and assist in remediation tracking
- Support risk-based internal audit engagements from planning through reporting
- Review process documentation and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Analyse business processes and recommend opportunities for control enhancement and process improvement
- Coordinate with client stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, HR, Procurement, Payroll, Revenue, Treasury, and other business functions
- Prepare high-quality workpapers and maintain audit documentation in accordance with PCAOB standards
- Support project management activities, including tracking deliverables, managing timelines, and communicating project status.

Qualifications

- 3-6 years of experience in SOX/ Internal Audit Compliance Audits
- Qualification - CA/CPA/CIA/CISA/MBA (Finance)
- Robust understanding of COSO framework and PCAOB requirements
- Experience with GRC tools- Auditboard (Optro), Workiva preferred
- Experience of working with international clients (preferred)
- High proficiency in Microsoft tools
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive and be effective in fast- paced settings
