Job Summary:
An Ophthalmologist is a licensed medical doctor specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of diseases and disorders affecting the eyes and vision. They perform comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe medications and corrective lenses, conduct surgical procedures, and provide preventive and post-operative eye care. EEmployment News+1

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Diagnose and treat eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and infections.
- Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
- Perform ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract, laser, refractive, and emergency eye procedures.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual field testing, fundus photography, and corneal topography.
- Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Pay: ₹23,799.35 - ₹82,439.75 per month
