Job Summary

Mangalaa Traaders is looking for a highly responsible and experienced Chief Accountant / Accounts Head to independently manage and control the complete accounting and finance operations of our wholesale trading business.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in GST filing, TDS filing, Income Tax coordination, PF & ESI compliance, bank reconciliation, credit control, cash flow management, monthly closing, and finalization of accounts.

This is a senior-level position requiring full ownership, accuracy, compliance management, and supervision of junior accounts staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting operations in Tally Prime.
- Handle high-volume daily transactions, billing, receipts, payments, and ledger postings.
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform GST reconciliation.
- Handle TDS calculations, return filing, corrections, and related compliance.
- Coordinate Income Tax filing and financial data preparation with auditors/CA.
- Manage PF & ESI filings and statutory compliance.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Monitor cash book, cash flow, and financial accuracy.
- Control customer outstanding balances and follow up on credit collections.
- Prepare monthly closing reports, MIS reports, P&L;, and financial statements.
- Reply to GST, Income Tax, bank, and other statutory notices.
- Handle professional email communication with customers, suppliers, banks, auditors, and government departments.
- Supervise and guide junior accounts staff.
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and audit readiness.
- Identify accounting errors, mismatches, and pending transactions, and resolve them promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 6–10 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in wholesale trading, textile,



garment, FMCG, or high-volume transaction business preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Excellent knowledge of GST filing and GST reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience in TDS filing and compliance.
- Working knowledge of Income Tax coordination.
- Experience in PF & ESI filings.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and cash management.
- Experience in credit control and outstanding follow-up.
- Knowledge of monthly closing and finalization of accounts.
- Ability to handle accounting independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.

- Can independently manage the entire accounts department.
- Can work under pressure during month-end and compliance periods.
- Has strong ownership and accountability.
- Can build proper accounting systems and controls.
- Can supervise entry-level accountants and verify their work.
- Can ensure timely completion of all statutory filings without delay.
