Overview:
A fast-growing SaaS company is building a cutting-edge product carbon footprint and lifecycle analysis platform. The platform supports global enterprises in navigating the sustainable economy through real-time analytics, secure infrastructure, and seamless data integrations.

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer or Architect to lead the technical vision, architecture, and development strategy for our cloud-based platform. This is a high-impact role with solid ownership across engineering and system design.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based systems

- Oversee and contribute to full-stack development using Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL

- Define infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and best-in-class CI/CD practices

- Ensure secure authentication and authorization (e.g., Auth0, SOC-2 readiness)

- Implement Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) encryption

- Lead data integration pipelines using Airbyte and build robust ETL workflows

- Own system deployment, monitoring, and fault tolerance using NATS and other messaging systems

- Drive automation and testing strategies using tools like GitHub Actions





- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, and sustainability teams

- Mentor junior engineers and influence key technical decisions

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership or architect role

- Demonstrated success in architecting and scaling enterprise-grade SaaS platforms

- Hands-on expertise across the mentioned tech stack

- Strong command over cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and container orchestration

- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor.ai, Windsurf)

- Deep understanding of secure app design and compliance (SOC-2, RBAC, key management)

- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

- Experience integrating with enterprise B2B systems

Bonus Qualifications:

- Experience maintaining SOC-2 compliance

- Knowledge of BYOK encryption models

- Background in sustainability, carbon accounting, or lifecycle assessment tools
