- Study of reference drawings and get familiarized quickly with the equipment.
- Prepare and self-check basic and detailed drawings for equipment as guided by the reporting Supervisor/Engineer.
- Develop sub-assembly and assembly drawings based on basic engineering drawings, related data or inputs from the supervisor.
- Prepare Bill of Material (BOM).
- Review and modify drawings to incorporate manufacturing parameters as required.
- Prepare and self-check onboard equipment piping drawings.
- Obtain approval from the checker and submit drawings to the Supervisor/Engineer.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience range: 3 to 5 years.
- Experience in equipment engineering for heavy machinery.
- Hands-on experience with CREO and AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Familiarity with various national and international standards.
- Knowledge of welding and machining symbols.
- Understanding of assembly processes.
- Knowledge of fits, tolerances, geometric tolerances and dimensioning.
- Ability to effectively communicate and report technical issues to the reporting engineer/manager.
- Exposure to steel plant or non-ferrous metal plant will be an added advantage.
