PostgreSQL Database Administrator / Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator with approximately 7 years of hands-on experience in administering, optimizing, and supporting mission-critical PostgreSQL databases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS-managed database services such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, along with experience in performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, security, and database automation.

Key Skill Required

Education - B.E/B.Tech from any reputed college

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

- Manage RDS PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL environments.

- Perform database migrations, upgrades,



backup and recovery activities.

- Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations.

- Configure replication, high availability, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and tools.

Experience : 7+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience.

Expertise in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.

- Experience with CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, AWS Backup, and Secrets Manager.

- Linux/Unix administration skills.

- Shell scripting and Python experience.

Experience with large-scale production databases.

- Exposure to Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Knowledge of Prometheus, Alert manager and Grafana

- Understanding of CloudWatch Database Insights

- Robust troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

- Ability to work independently in production environments.
