AI is reshaping every software and design role, including this one. We've paused traditional applications for this role while we rethink what the work looks like at ColoredCow in the AI era. Tell me what you'd build, what you'd change, what you think we're missing.
And it isn't only the AI disruption. ColoredCow is at a stage where we need to scale — on the back of the work and experience we've gathered over all these years — and so what we want from this role has grown with it: not a pair of hands that only executes, but someone who understands the business behind the work, who can see a client's real problem, help us win and hold the engagement, and stand behind delivery with the stability, portfolio, and years that ColoredCow carries. If that's you, tell me how you'd help us win the work, not just do it. We read every note that engages with the question.

A letter from Prateek

Founder, ColoredCow
We're rethinking this role.
AI is rewriting what software and design work looks like — what gets automated, what becomes scarce, what kinds of judgment matter. Every role on our team is going through this rethink, including this one.
We're treating it as an opportunity. Roles aren't disappearing; they're being rebuilt around AI-native thinking, real judgment, and craft that AI can't replicate.
While we're doing that work, we've paused traditional applications for this role.
If you have a point of view on how this function should evolve in the AI era — or want to help us build it — I'd genuinely like to hear from you.
Tell me what you'd build, what you'd change, what you think we're missing.
Before you write, see what we read and what we quietly pass on. We read every note that engages with the question.
