About the Role

ResQBag is a food-tech startup on a mission to reduce food waste by connecting surplus food from restaurants and vendors with consumers. We're looking for a Social Media Intern to own and grow our presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms. In this role, you'll shape how ResQBag shows up online — from planning campaigns to designing scroll-stopping content — and directly influence how our brand story reaches students, professionals, and food-conscious communities across India.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with ResQBag's campaigns and brand pillars
- Schedule and publish posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Design engaging graphics, carousels, and story content using tools like Canva or Adobe Express
- Draft compelling captions and copy tailored to each platform's tone and audience
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and community engagement in a timely, on-brand manner
- Track content performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and suggest improvements
- Stay updated on social media trends, formats, and platform algorithm changes relevant to food-tech and D2C brands
- Coordinate with the founders' team and other departments to align content with ongoing initiatives

Required Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Design, or a related field




- No prior professional experience required; personal or academic social media project experience is a plus

Required Skills & Competencies

- Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or Photoshop
- Familiarity with Instagram and LinkedIn content formats (Reels, carousels, Stories, articles)
- Creative eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency
- Basic understanding of social media scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite)
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-growing startup environment
- Good time management to balance a ~20 hour/week commitment

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience managing a personal, college, or club social media page
- Interest in sustainability, food systems, or the D2C/startup space
- Basic video editing skills (Reels/short-form content)

Reports To: Founders' Office / Branding & Marketing Lead
