Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure all construction materials comply with project specifications, MoRTH, IRC, IS Codes, and client quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and testing of soil, aggregates, WMM, GSB, DBM, BC, concrete, cement, steel, bitumen, and other construction materials.
- Perform and monitor field and laboratory tests, including:
- Soil Compaction (FDT/Sand Replacement)
- Atterberg Limits
- Proctor Compaction Test
- CBR Test
- Aggregate Gradation
- Flakiness & Elongation Index
- Impact & Crushing Value
- Bitumen Penetration, Softening Point & Ductility
- Marshall Stability Test
- Concrete Slump & Cube Strength Tests
- Verify material approvals before use and reject non-conforming materials.
- Monitor pavement layer thickness, compaction, density, and level compliance.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.
- Prepare and maintain Daily Quality Reports (DQR), Material Test Reports (MTR), Inspection Reports, and Quality Registers.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Consultants, and Client representatives during inspections.
- Supervise laboratory technicians and ensure testing is carried out as per approved procedures.




- Maintain records of material consumption, test frequencies, and quality documentation.
- Support internal, client, and third-party quality audits.
- Provide technical guidance to site execution teams on quality-related issues.
- Ensure all quality documentation is updated and submitted within project timelines.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in Quality Control for Highway/Road Construction Projects.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of MoRTH Specifications, IRC Codes, IS Standards, and Quality Control Procedures.
- Hands-on experience in highway material testing and laboratory operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and quality documentation.
- Positive analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients effectively.
