Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically sound Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for engineering materials and components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, vendor management expertise, and the ability to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.

Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and engineering products.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure just-in-time procurement to optimize storage and reduce costs.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure technical compatibility of purchased items.

Conduct supplier audits and evaluate vendor performance regularly.

Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Prepare and manage procurement budgets, cost forecasts, and reports.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders,



contracts, and supplier agreements.

Required Qualifications

B. E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

4–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase engineering.

Must-Have Skills

Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good-to-Have Skills

MBA in Supply Chain / Operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Capability to work independently as well as in a team.

Solid analytical mindset with problem-solving approach.

Purchase Engineer with experience in EPC project environments.

- Handle end-to-end procurement for EPC projects including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural materials.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
