We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Head to lead and manage CNC and VMC machining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, machine utilization, process optimization, CNC/VMC programming and setting, quality compliance, manpower management, and achieving production targets while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the overall operations of the CNC and VMC machine shop.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Possess solid knowledge of CNC/VMC machine setting, programming, and process optimization.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve productivity, quality, and tool life.
- Allocate jobs and resources effectively to maximize machine utilization.
- Manage operators, setters, and supervisors to ensure smooth shop floor operations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate employees to improve technical skills and performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores departments.
- Identify and implement productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor machine downtime and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping (5S), and company policies.
- Prepare daily production reports, efficiency reports, rejection analysis,



and manpower utilization reports.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC Turning Centers and VMC machining operations.
- Expertise in CNC/VMC machine setting, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and process sheets.
- Good understanding of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, machining parameters, and cycle time optimization.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine shop operations.
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing production teams and machine shop operations.
- Experience in automotive, precision engineering, aerospace, or general engineering manufacturing industries is preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
