Manipal Dot Net is seeking a dynamic and experienced Research & Development (R&D;) Team Manager to lead our innovative R&D; department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, technology development, and project management, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and define the research & development (R&D;) strategy and vision for advanced camera systems and mobile applications (iOS and Android) tailored for site monitoring solutions.
- Manage the entire R&D; lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to commercialization and post-launch support, ensuring seamless integration between hardware (cameras) and software (mobile apps).
- Build, mentor, and inspire a team of research engineers, and developers to achieve technological excellence and innovation.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and market trends in camera systems and mobile applications to inform product development and innovation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and engineering, to ensure cohesive and successful product development.
- Manage R&D; budgets, resources,



and timelines to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Desirable Skill Set:

- Experience in the site monitoring, or related security industry.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Stage-Gate.
- Proficiency in mobile app development (iOS and Android) and integration with hardware systems.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies for object detection, theft detection, person detection, and on-site inventory management (optional but advantageous).

Personal Skills:

- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on developing cutting-edge technologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in a research and development role, with a strong focus on camera systems and mobile application development.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating R&D; teams to deliver innovative hardware and software solutions.
