About the Role

Shiksha For You is seeking a passionate and result-oriented Academic Counselor to guide students in making informed educational and career decisions. The ideal candidate should have experience in the education sector and possess excellent communication and counseling skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, career opportunities, and admissions.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses and institutions.
- Handle student inquiries through calls, emails, and walk-ins.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective students and parents to generate interest in academic programs.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert leads into enrolments.
- Guide students through the admission and application process.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and admission status.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
- Achieve monthly admission and enrolment targets.

Required Skill





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counseling, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand student needs and provide suitable guidance.
- Strong cold-calling, lead generation and follow-up skills.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated attitude.

Eligibility Criteria

- Any Graduate.
- 0–3 years of experience in Academic Counseling, Admission Counseling, Student Counseling, or related roles.
- Prior experience in the Education/EdTech industry is mandatory.
- Freshers with relevant educational counseling exposure may also apply.
- Proficiency in English and Tamil preferred.
