Role Overview

English Teacher for Classes 6-8 to cultivate fluency, critical reading, and creative writing per CBSE, using literature and multimedia to build confident communicators.

Key Responsibilities

- - Align plans to CBSE: Honeymoon (Class 6 prose), Who Did Patrick’s Homework (Class 7), Glimpses of the Past (Class 8); grammar (tenses, clauses), writing (letters, stories).
- Facilitate interactive sessions: book circles, TED-Ed debates, podcast creation, drama skits from Honeycomb/Beehive texts.
- Use apps (Quizlet for vocab), AV clips, graphic novels, peer editing for comprehension/essays.
- Prepare AS-level papers, reading logs, portfolio assessments, speech competitions.
- Document reading levels, writing rubrics, participation charts.
- Coordinate literary fest, elocution, story slams, book clubs.
- Support ESL students with phonics boosters, inclusive group work.




- Share writing samples/portfolio reviews in PTMs.

Eligibility / Qualifications

- - B.A. English Literature/Language.
- B.Ed. with English pedagogy; TET qualified.
- 2-4 years CBSE middle school; creative writing portfolio helpful.
- Energetic communicator; digital storytelling skills.

Work Location & Timings

Location: Budigere Cross, Bengaluru, Karnataka

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

(One Saturday off as per school policy)

School Timings: 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM

Weekly Stay Back: Once a week till 5:00 PM (Mandatory)
