Position: Warehouse Assistant – Tyre Handling

Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for handling, loading, unloading, storing, and dispatching tyres safely and accurately. The role ensures proper inventory management, warehouse cleanliness, and timely order fulfillment while following company SOPs and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Load and unload tyres from vehicles safely.
- Receive incoming tyre shipments and verify quantity and condition.
- Arrange tyres in the designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare tyres for dispatch as per customer orders.
- Scan and update inventory using barcode scanners or warehouse software.
- Assist in stock counting and cycle counts.
- Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) wherever applicable.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Report damaged or defective tyres immediately.
- Ensure proper stacking to avoid tyre damage.
- Assist in vehicle loading according to dispatch schedules.
- Follow all warehouse SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Support supervisors during audits and physical stock verification.
- Perform any other warehouse-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Minimum: 10th Pass / 12th Pass.
- Experience in warehouse or tyre handling is preferred.
- Freshers can also apply.

Physical Requirements

- Fit to lift and move heavy tyres.
- Able to stand, bend, and work for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Safety Responsibilities

- Wear safety shoes, gloves, and other PPE.
- Follow safe lifting techniques.
- Keep aisles and work areas free from obstructions.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, or damaged equipment immediately.

- Inventory accuracy.
- Timely loading and unloading.
- Order picking accuracy.
- Zero safety violations.
- Warehouse cleanliness and discipline.
- Minimum tyre damage during handling.
- On-time dispatch support.

This job role is ideal for tyre warehouses, logistics hubs, distributors, and C&F; operations handling brands such as Yokohama and other commercial or passenger vehicle tyres.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
