Roles & Responsibilities:
As an Engineer QA for our Digital team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our digital platforms. Your core responsibilities will include:
Test Planning & Traceability:
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and defects using tools such as Jira.
Track and report on test progress, issues, and overall test status.
Test Automation:
Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for digital applications using tools such as
Selenium
and
WebDriver.io
.
Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Continuously improve and optimize the test automation process.
SDLC Understanding:
Work closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality at every stage.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure that quality standards are met.
Be involved in requirements gathering and design reviews to identify potential testing challenges early in the development process.
Defect Management:
Identify, log, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and prioritization.




Collaborate with development teams to facilitate defect resolution and ensure timely fixes.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends and best practices for quality assurance and automation.
Proactively recommend improvements in test processes, tools, and methodologies.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of quality software.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and test automation.
Strong experience with
test automation tools
such as
Selenium
and
WebDriver.io
.
Proficiency in using
Jira
for test case management, defect tracking, and traceability.
Solid understanding of the
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
and agile methodologies.
Experience in writing and executing manual and automated test cases.
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with CI/CD tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with other testing tools (e.g., Postman, Jenkins) is a plus.
Experience in testing
web applications
and
mobile applications
.
Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools is a bonus.
