We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance Specialist
with deep expertise in the
Oracle 11i Global Accounting Engine (AX)
. This role involves providing ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of legacy Oracle 11i Financials, ensuring accurate financial data, compliance with global accounting standards, and smooth integration across modules.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate deep functional and technical expertise in the
Oracle Global Accounting Engine (AX)
, including event models, posting processes, and accounting setups.
Monitor and maintain the AX environment — execute posting processes, manage accounting definitions, and ensure synchronization between subledgers and the General Ledger (GL).
Configure and modify AX setups to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Apply localized AX knowledge for countries such as
France, Italy, and Belgium
, ensuring compliance with regional accounting and statutory regulations.
Act as a
Subject Matter Expert (SME)
for
Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA)
— manage accounting methods, journal line definitions, and application accounting definitions.
Perform gap analysis, document business requirements, and design solutions to enhance financial processes.
Configure and support Oracle Financials modules —
General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA)
.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement
RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions)
objects.
Develop and execute test scripts for
unit, SIT, and UAT
testing phases.




Provide continuous production support and troubleshoot complex accounting setup or transaction issues.
Prepare functional design documents, coordinate with technical teams, and assist in development validation.
Conduct end-user training sessions and prepare user documentation.
Stay updated on Oracle EBS updates, features, and enhancements to recommend system improvements.
Required Skills
Solid functional and technical understanding of
Oracle EBS Financials
, especially
Global Accounting Engine (AX)
.
Proven hands-on experience with
Oracle 11i AX
configuration, setup, and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of
Oracle Financials modules
— GL, AP, AR, FA, and Cash Management (CE).
Expertise in
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
and complex accounting setup design.
Strong understanding of
global accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP)
and ability to design compliant multi-country solutions.
Familiarity with
Oracle AIM (Application Implementation Methodology)
or similar structured methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in
SQL
and
PL/SQL
for data analysis and validation.
Exposure to Oracle development tools like
Forms, Reports, and Workflow
.
Experience with
Oracle reporting tools
, including
BI Publisher
and Oracle Financials reporting solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Finance, Accounting
, or a related discipline.
Oracle Certifications
are an added advantage.
Minimum
10 years of experience
in Oracle Financials, with specialization in
Global Accounting Engine (AX)
