We are seeking a
Senior Trading System Developer
with deep expertise in
Java
and
Python
to design and develop next-generation
automation and testing tools
for institutional trading platforms. This role is critical to enhancing system reliability, validating complex order lifecycles, and ensuring low-latency performance across trading environments. You'll collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and front-office teams to build frameworks that strengthen automation, accelerate development cycles, and improve overall test coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
advanced frameworks for automated testing of order entry, modification, routing, and risk management logic.
Develop tools using
Java
,
Python
, or
Rust
to simulate and validate
end-to-end trading workflows
across both low-touch and high-touch systems.
Build
self-service platforms
for trade simulations, venue behavior replay, and
FIX protocol
validation.
Automate
health checks
, venue certification scripts, and regression pipelines in collaboration with front-office support and development teams.
Integrate automation frameworks into
CI/CD pipelines
for pre-deployment checks, latency verification, and continuous reliability monitoring.
Enhance
observability
and debugging through fault-tolerant, data-rich tooling to aid rapid issue reproduction.
Expand testing capabilities for
FIX, REST, and WebSocket APIs
across exchanges and internal trading systems.
Required Qualifications
5+ years
of experience developing and testing distributed or high-performance trading systems.
Solid proficiency in
Java (11+)
and
Python
for automation frameworks, trading harnesses, and performance optimization.
Experience with
OMS/EMS systems
and a solid understanding of
order lifecycles, FIX messaging,
and
venue connectivity.
Knowledge of
test automation frameworks
and
continuous integration practices.
Familiarity with
electronic trading workflows, market structures,
and
latency analysis.
Proficiency in
scripting languages
(Python, Shell) for monitoring, testing, and automation.
Understanding of
high-performance messaging
technologies such as
Aeron, Chronicle,
or
Kafka.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing
exchange certification tools
,
FIX simulators
, or
regression harnesses.
Exposure to
market-making systems, risk engines,
or
smart order routers.
Prior work experience in
crypto
or
traditional electronic trading environments.
