This role is for an experienced
NoSQL Database Administrator (DBA)
with at least
2 years of hands-on experience
managing and optimizing modern NoSQL database systems such as
MongoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, Couchbase, or Redis
. The position focuses on ensuring high reliability, performance, scalability, and security across both production and non-production database environments. You will play a key part in maintaining distributed data systems, supporting development teams, and driving database efficiency and stability.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and upgrade NoSQL database clusters, including MongoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, Redis, Couchbase, or similar technologies.
Manage core administrative tasks such as user roles, access controls, security settings, backups, restores, and performance tuning.
Monitor database performance, cluster health, replication, and proactively address issues to maintain optimal system functioning.
Implement and manage high-availability setups, replication mechanisms, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
Oversee data sharding, partitioning, and scaling techniques for distributed database architectures.
Conduct capacity planning and continuously track resource usage across CPU, memory, disk, and network.
Execute regular backup and restore routines, ensuring data integrity and preparedness for failover scenarios.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to performance bottlenecks, replication delays, cluster inconsistencies, and node failures.
Work closely with application, DevOps, and engineering teams on schema updates, automation, and database version upgrades.
Maintain accurate documentation covering configurations, operational procedures, and security or compliance guidelines.
