SAP Roles & Authorizations Specialist
About the Unit & Team
The
SAP Platforms Unit
empowers the company's digital ecosystem by providing
stable, agile, scalable, and secure platforms
.
Within this unit, the
SAP Roles and Authorizations Enablement Team
supports business technology teams by delivering seamless
SAP Roles and Authorizations development
,
Access Management
, and establishing
clear security guardrails
.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business areas, and external suppliers.
Analyze and understand business requirements, define scope, and plan deliverables.
Design SAP roles in collaboration with stakeholders, adhering to existing processes and standards.
Conduct risk assessments including segregation of duties (SoD), GDPR, and sensitive access checks.
Develop roles and authorizations across SAP platforms including ECC/S4, EWM/S4, CAR, BW, GTS, CRM, MDG, Solution Manager, HANA DB, Fiori, and SAP Cloud solutions.
Perform unit testing and support system/integration/acceptance testing phases.
Drive and manage all roles and authorizations (R&A;) related activities,



including role orderability.
Use analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues effectively.
Promote continuous improvement and proactively contribute to process enhancements.
Required Technical Competencies
Proven experience as a
Software Engineer
working in
agile environments
.
Strong consulting skills with the ability to provide advisory support.
Deep expertise in
SAP standard Authorization concepts
and
SAP Best Practices
.
Solid understanding of authorization risks including
SoD
,
GDPR
, and
sensitive access
.
Proficient with
Microsoft Office 365
tools.
Background in
large, global organizations
.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with
SAP GRC
tools.
Familiarity with
Atlassian tools
such as Jira Cloud and Confluence.
Experience in the
Retail industry
is an advantage.
Background in
IT Security
and
Security Frameworks
.
Knowledge of
System Security
.
SAFE certification
is a plus.
