Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all engineering systems – HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
Lead, schedule, and support the engineering team, ensuring effective coverage and high standards of work.
Manage and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, guest rooms, and public areas.
Respond quickly to maintenance requests or emergencies, minimising disruption to operations and guests.
Collaborate with department heads to support operational needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards,



as well as legal and brand requirements.
Manage contractors, service providers, and external inspections, ensuring quality and timely work.
Monitor and optimise energy use, utilities, and maintenance budgets.
Keep detailed maintenance records and assist with capital planning and project implementation.
Train your team on safety, emergency procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings both technical skill and creative spark
:
You have solid technical knowledge and previous experience in a senior engineering/maintenance role, ideally within the hotel industry.
You're confident managing a team and setting high standards for safety, quality, and service.
You're skilled in troubleshooting and quick thinking – always ready with a plan B.
You're organised, calm under pressure, and happy to be on call when needed.
You know your way around building systems and maintenance tools, and you understand the importance of documentation and compliance.
You're committed to keeping the hotel running smoothly – so every guest has a great experience.
