The intern willmainly have to undertake rainfall analysis from gridded datasets, reviewrelevant national-level policies and programmes,
and other forms of nationaland international literature on climate change and water resources management.Candidates having an educational background in water resources and GIS in theirrelated degree are encouraged to apply.Jobduties and accountabilities Research: ● Have a basic understanding of risk assessment● Support in statistical rainfall analysis fromgridded datasets● Support in data cleaning and sorting wheneverand wherever required● Support systematic review of literature andreferencing● Support in making maps using visualrepresentation tools● Any other work assignedProject/Programme Assistance:● Assist with project and programmeimplementation, including preparing presentations,factsheets, and other communication materials.● Assist effective outreach of research outputsthrough coordination with the outreach teamand engagement with a broader network ofstakeholders and concerned policymakers.● As required, assist senior team members inimportant meetings and sessions, such aspreparing notes and conducting follow-upsSelectionCriteriaQualifications and work experience:● Master's degree (completed or pursuing) in water resources, geographical information systems (GIS) or a relatedfield. Key Skills● GIS and remote sensing skills● Rainfall trend and deviation analysis● Should have strong research skills to support a systematic review of the literature● Ability to write in a manner thatcan summarise and communicate the insights/findings● Good presentation skills● Coding skills (optional) Personality:● Willingness to learn new(research) skills
